What A Day....

...and apparently many people in the area had the same kind of day from what Facebook tells me. Ahh, where to start. We know (pretty much at least) now that Matt has finally gotten a job with the Boy Scouts to work as a District Executive in Abingdon, VA. It will be easy to move since it's less than an hour away. We went to visit our new ward today, the Bristol Ward, and met lots of nice and very helpful people. Let's bring in the rest of the crazy day.

We decided to drive around and see what kinds of "For Rent" signs we could find so I can have some place to follow up with tomorrow. That turned into almost two hours of semi-fruitful wandering, in which the kids started to have a meltdown. They made it home pretty well, though, all things considered. We found a few places to call tomorrow. Ellerie was acting the baby from around dinner time out and I finally finished up with her and put her to bed at 7:15 or so. That's when Bennett started to have one of his meltdowns, where he gets so overtired he won't eat and he won't sleep. He just fights it with all his might...which, for 4.5 months, is quite a bit. Then Ellerie wakes up at 8:20 for who knows what reason, almost inconsolable, and she finally comes downstairs, just in time for Matt to come home from home teaching. Ellerie finally went down around 9 PM and Bennett just now fell asleep after a 20 minute interlude. Here's to hoping tonight doesn't turn into the newest version of The Exorcist....speaking of the devil, I hear crying again....geez....false alarm?

We have two weeks to find a place to live, pack up our stuff again, move and then get Matt settled in so he can start on August 17....and we still want to go to the beach with his family the week before...wow. Let the games begin.

Congratulations on the job. Is this the one he had a million interviews with? Hope it all works out.

Yay for the new job! Have fun at the beach and good luck with the move! Last night was rough here too. Was it the moon or something?
