Now that the niceties are out of the way, on to the terrible. I made it to Walmart today after being stuck inside the house since Sunday. For one, I have been sick and I'm still on the mend, but that's not the real point. It has been snowing almost nonstop since Sunday. Even for a place that manages to keep all the roads nice and tidy during the winter, things are getting a little crazy. The kids in school are on their 9th snow day for the year. All kinds of things shut down. Walmart was practically like a ghost town (which was actually kind of nice). It's the dry, powdery-type snow that would be heavenly IF you were at a ski resort...which we're not. It's supposed to be in the 40s in a few days...hmm, I'll believe it when I feel it.
And another thing that is worth mentioning...this past Sunday our ward was split. We are part of the new Abingdon Ward. We don't have any new callings at church (yet), but we're waiting around for all of the new changes that are sure to take place within the next few weeks. We'll be a small group for the time being, and I am convinced there will be some presidencies that won't be able to get filled up due to needing at least some people to participate in the classes. We'll see :) We're going to be meeting at 11:30, good for winter weather situations, yet to be determined for the naptime schedule. Things could go terribly, terribly wrong there...lol.
Hope you are staying warm this winter week!
